I was wondering if anyone had a picture of Bellevale Cottage from around late 1890's, early 1900's. My greatgrandfather owned this cottage and as I am tracing the family tree, I would love to see what it looked like. If it helps his name was William C Cuff and wife Jessie. Thankyou in anticipation

Hi Linda & Alanamp, Belle Vale Cottage was in its own grounds up Wambo Lane, near Belle Vale Farm. I haven't seen any pics of the cottage, but here's a 1904 Ordnance Survey map and a 1945 RAF aerial view, if it's any use. Also a street map c.1959 showing the curvy bit in the middle of Wambo Lane where Belle Vale Cottage was. Best of luck with the family history Linda; I have a lot of records and maps myself, so if you get stuck let me know and I'll try to help.
