Hello Alan; I recently discovered that you were researching the history of Chez Philippe, which my mother Jean Overd and my farther Philippe Overd owned. I read in your article that you aquired first hand Knowledge from his wife. It seems that you were unawaire that the woman whom you spoke to, was his second wife, who had no knowledge of the building or its history, as she did not meet him untill some ten years after leaving Chez Philippe. At this present time, i am unsure if you have published your findings, and especially interested in reading your book to see how accurate your research has been.

Hello again Alan, I just wanted to add, that Philippe Overd and his first wife Jean, had three daughters, Michelle, Giselle, and Danielle. We were in fact the last family to live at Chez Philippe, contrary to what I read on the Crying Tree history, as well as other inaccurate history. My sisters and myself spent our childhood and early adult life living and working there. My farther Philippe has passed away, but his three daughters and his 1st wife are still here, and would be very intersted to read your findings.
