Hi HG, yes I have read that a Property Security Company have put Guardians in the School as protection against Vandalism ect. But I wonder why the school was closed in the first place . Was it no longer fit for purpose?

The school closed as the rear field was filled up and leveled by controlled tipping when the school was built.
As a result, there was nowhere on the Grange Lane site that was suitable to build on, and in order to build the new school they couldn't demolish the old on first.
The land is to be sold as a whole including the fields, but its unlikely they will be built on.
FYI... Previous pupil, local historian, and guardian in the school! I've recently produced a photo book on the school, and a context book on the Gorsey Cop (The Crying Tree/Grange Manor)
