The hard pressed Council Tax payers of the roads adjacent to Halewood road never see street cleaners or litter pickers (except when there is a local election). The only thing that removes the litter in these areas is the wind. We have Councillors living in the area but still nothing gets cleaned up. All they harp on about is Gateacre in bloom. All we want is a satisfactory cleaning service. when the council grass cutting contractors turn up its even worse as they cut the grass with the litter still in it . which is then sprayed all over the place making the area more unsightly than it originally was . We pay one of the highest council taxes in the country, but still we get one of the worst services . What do you think . Its your money they are spending on full colour council magazines telling you all is hunky dory. contact your councillor now and tell them you are not satisfied with the lack of road cleaning services in this area.

Litter is quite bad and most of it is caused by people throwing trays and chip forks from their takeaway onto the pavement. Any suggestions? I've lost count of the amount of litter I continually pick up.... Maybe a surcharge by the chippy to pay for litter patrols would work. I'm aware that I'm sounding like Victor Meldrew but if we want the place to look nice, litter is a problem.
