Is anyone else bothered by the purple bins that are observed for long periods sitting in front of the Rose Brow Cottages? I wish that plastic bags could be used there so that occasionally, as you enter Rose Brow toward Gateacre Brow, it would appear more attractive. I would also like to see old-style bollards and more trees planted along Rose Brow - and on Gateacre Village Green. When I was a child there seemed to be more trees around the village - it seemed "greener".

The purple bins are horrible, any colour but that! - were they cheap or is our council made up of colour blind people?
Also, how come in a conservation area I am restricted in what I can do on my property (especially as it's listed) yet mersey travel can errect those rancid yellow/grey bus shelters...surely if BT can maintain an old red box, MT should be made to have more sympathetic shelters - would hate to live next to them and have the light glaring away until after the last bus too.
