Does anyone remember or knows someone who might remember the funeral of Lord Wavertree - William Hall-Walker - son of Sir Andrew Barclay Walker, twice Lord Mayor of Liverpool of Gateacre Grange. Rose Brow.
He died in London February 1933 ( it is only 78 years ago) !!
His coffin was brought to Liverpool by train, and thence to Gateacre Grange, where it was put on a gun-carriage and taken to Childwall Church, for burial in the Churchyard.
We do have newspaper reports of the funeral, but we wonder if anyone has anything to add.
ALSO - Some years ago there were rumours around that Lily Langtree has been seen going into Gateacre Grange escorted by a very well known Gentleman..... Can anyone coroborate these
