Does anyone have any information on the 'Pinfold Houses' in Netherley - about 1800's There would be a PINFOLD where stray animals would be kept awaiting the owners to collect them. The Pinfold would be made of bricks which wouldbe round and small, but with an opening at one end. Joan

Hello - There was a Harding Hunt gentleman who I think lived in Gateacre. He was connected to the Turner family i.e. Cecil Turner who lived in the large house in Cuckoo Lane. Harding Hunt sang in the mens choir of Liverpool. His occupation was a shipping clerk in the firm of Turners - shipping agents. in Liverpool Does this help. Joan
