Can anyone tell me about High Birks Gateacre, circa WW1. I have discovered that my g Uncle was living there in 1918 whilst in the RAFand just prior to entering Liverpool University School of medicine. His family home was in London, so I do not know why he was living at High Birks

Its a long time since I put this question on the site. I have been deflected with work and family issues. I am now writing a book about my family. The family that lived at High Birks was called Widdup. The father was John Roberts Widdup, the sons were Harry and Percy both in the army and later the RAF . Johns wife was called Emily. Is the house still there and if so does anyone know the number, I believe I was told it was Halewood road. The dates appear to be 1918 and 1919 possibly longer. By 1924 the family had moved to Beckenham Kent, but Harry trained in Medicine at Liverpool and eventually married and practised there. The family name of his wife was Gilligan Thanks in anticipation Sue
