I wonder whether the members of Gateacre Chat and the Gateacre Society are aware of the Mayor of Liverpool's proposal to build upon land belonging to Woolton Woods. It is proposed to demolish the existing St Julie's school and sell off the land to a developer (of course!) to build houses. The new school is proposed to be built on the green space next to st Julies and along the High Street. If you are against this proposal, please either sign the e-petition or one of the paper petitions in the shops in the village. There is a facebook page dedicated to saving Woolton Woods, called "Save Woolton Woods" where you can find more information and keep up-to-date with the campaign.

Lynda, i knew Mrs.Gibney very well. I lived 2 doors down from the flats and she used to come to ours for a cup of tea and to see my Mum. The Cummins family lived in the first house next to the flats. I knew the other pensioners who lived there but not by name. I probably saw you going in and out though. We lived there from 1971 and my parents are still there now. They are in their 90s now. Non of the old neighbours are there sadly. What was your family name..??
